Over Spring Break I did my action. If you didn't already know, my action was to not use any vehicles that run on Fossil Fuels for a week. I also convinced a few other people to do it with me.I only got 4 people to do it, not as much as I wanted, but still better than nothing! Surprisingly, the action wasn't that hards to do Because of the coronavirus. but it was still a challenge. I ended up walking more places than usual. Overall, not using my car was easier than I expected, and in the future I will definitely think twice when using my car. I will be uploading a few pictures of me walking to get to places on my photos page.

This week was probably the busiest week of exhibition on virtual school. It's also the last week of virtual school. I accomplished a lot of things this week. The thing I'm most proud of this week is my final draft for my math component. It turned out way better than I expected. Since I got a ton done this week here's a list of the things I accomplished this week.
- I decided on my action - I finished my research - I made a plan for my action - I made a plan for my writing component - I learned time management skills It might not seem like a lot but it was really a lot of work. The biggest problem for me this week was internet issues. But I know there's no good way of solving that. Besides that, I had no big issues this week. That's all for this week! Bye! Today wasn't a very busy day. The first thing I did was make my Schedule and To-do list. Here's the pictures of them. The best thing that happened today was Ms. Kesler's read aloud. What makes todays read aloud so special is because she did it live. She read Walk Two Moons on ZOOM. Another thing that I did today was have a meeting with Ms. Kesler. It went pretty well, we talked about a couple things. The only thing i need help with right now is my writing component. We talked about it a little and after a little thinking I think I might write a persuasive article about air pollution. But it's not certain yet but I think it's a good idea. The only real work I did today was update my website and continue to work on my math component.
Today was another busy day. The first thing I did today was make my schedule. It's a routine by now. Here's a picture of it. Then I had a ZOOM meeting with other people doing informational texts for their writing component.I was going to make a persuasive piece but as I was starting my plan I felt that it wasn't for me. So I changed to informative. The meeting went pretty well and I think it was the right choice to switch.
Today I also had ZOOM Class meeting about how to plan out our writing pieces. I decided to use a graphic organizer to plan mine out. The plan has to be very detailed so we got two days to plan our writing components. Guess what? I had a third meeting today! This time it was my weekly meeting with Ms. Kesler on Teams. We talked about how my exhibition is going and what I'm done with. The only big thing that I haven't started thinking about is how I'm going to present my actual exhibition. We talked about the fact that exhibition might be completely online due to Coronavirus. So I had to take account of that too. I'm still not sure about what I'm going to do. That's all! Bye:) Today I started off with a ZOOM meeting with the class. In the meeting we didn't say much. I guess that's because the meeting was literally at 8 in the morning and everyone just woke up. So we ended the meeting short and we will give out ideas online for our presenting at the exhibition. After that I updated this website a bit and went on flipgrid to see Ms. Keslers comment on my flipgrid for my action. Oh, and today I also made some sketches for Art.
That's all, Bye! Today was a pretty easy day. I didn't do much exhibition work. The only exhibition work I did was get started on my math component and edit this website a bit. But I did do something besides that, today my class had our first class meeting on video call. We did it on this website called ZOOM. We didn't talk about so much in the meeting, it was mostly just figuring out how to use it and setting some agreements on how we should act in meetings. I really enjoyed the meeting and I really liked ZOOM. Okay, the only other thing I want to show you today is my Bahasa poster. I actually finished last week but I forgot to put it on here. So here it is! It says " Stop Air Pollution".
OK, that's all for today, Bye! This week was pretty tiring. I really liked that I was really dedicated to my work. But, wish I had actually tried to organise my schedule. If I had just done that my week wouldv'e been so much easier. Out of all my work that I did this week, I am most proud of my first draft for my math component. I'm surprised that it actually looks good since it's only the first draft. Here's a picture of it. But one thing I still need to work on is my action. I only have one idea for my action and it's to not use my car for a week. But I don't really want to do that. I want to come up with something better. The trikiest part of this week was doing school online. Virtual school is a big change from normal school and I'm still not used to it. Like when I want to talk with somebody I first have to text them, then see when they're available, then video call. Or, when I need help I have to text them then wait like, 10 minutes to get an answer. I miss getting to see all my friends and actually getting to talk with people. The thing I found most helpful this week was having my dad to talk with at home. My dad's a teacher so I can get a little school help from time to time.
That's all for this week! bye! Today I finished my first draft for my math component. It's not really an info graph, it's basically just graphs. But that's fine. I also thought about my action today. I'm thinking of not using my car for a week for my action air pollution. It's not official yet, I might change it in the future. Today I also had a meeting with Ms. Kesler. We talked about a lot of things. We talked about my math component, presenting, action and virtual school. I think the meeting went pretty well, although, I don't really have an idea of how I'm actually going to present my exhibition. But, I will decide soon.
That's all for today, Bye! The first thing I did today was finish up my questions for my survey. I think I won't actually use the survey to make my infographic for my math component since it won't give me good data about air pollution. After that I did some art. I made some sketches for my artwork. Here's a picture of one of them. I'm going to make my artwork with paint. At least I think. I might change later. Today I also made a flip grid about Vietnamese culture.
That's all I did related to exhibition today! Bye! Today I didn't do much exhibition-related stuff, All I basically did was finish up my research. Today was my last day of research, Here are some notes that I took. -Some air pollution comes from natural resources such as: -volcanos -wind erosion -Wildfires -pollen dispersal -Allergens - Household cleaning products, painting supplies emit toxic chemicals in the air and cause air pollution. And heres a video I watched. I think it was a great video and I learned a lot about how bad air pollution is for your body. Besides research today I started to make questions for my survey that I'm going to use to help me make an info graph.. I think I'll be done making the survey by Thursday.
That's all I did today. Bye! |
